The Safe Tutor learning trail

From “I’m stuck”
to “I understand.”

Every session follows a visible path. Students know what they are doing, why it matters and what comes next.

01

Ask

Choose the year level, subject and topic—or bring the schoolwork causing trouble.

02

Understand

Break the idea into manageable steps and change the explanation when needed.

03

Practise

Try a related question and check the thinking—not just the final answer.

04

Remember

Save what needs another look and return through the private Mistakes Vault.

UNDERSTAND THE IDEA

Why are 1/2 and 2/4 the same amount?

  1. 1

Both bars represent the same whole.

  2. 2

One of two equal parts is shaded in the first bar.

  3. 3

Two of four equal parts are shaded in the second bar.

YOUR TURN

Shade a fraction that is equal to 3/6.

One platform. Every stage of school.

The tutor grows up with the student.

Younger students get colour, short steps and visible encouragement. Senior students get focused revision without childish presentation—and every student is spoken to at the level they are working at.

Safety parents can inspect

Parent control is not a badge.
It is the account structure.

A parent or guardian creates the account, manages student profiles and can edit or delete the family’s information.

01

Parent-created account

Children do not create separate logins.

02

Minimal student details

A nickname, year level, preferences and learning activity support the service.

03

Schoolwork boundaries

The tutor is instructed to redirect unsafe or unrelated requests.

04

Clear deletion controls

Parents can edit profiles or remove the family account and associated learning data.

Parent questions

Clear answers before you create an account.

Does Safe Tutor simply give students the answer?

No. The tutor is instructed to explain, hint and offer related practice so the student works through the thinking rather than copying a finished answer.

Who creates and controls the account?

A parent or guardian creates the account and manages the student profiles within it.

What student information is stored?

A nickname or first name, year level, the teacher they chose and their learning activity—questions asked, subjects, merit stars and Mistakes Vault items. Never a surname, school, address, phone number or photo.

Can AI explanations be wrong?

Yes. AI can occasionally be incomplete or incorrect, so the service should be used as tutoring support rather than a guaranteed authoritative answer.

Is it suitable for older students?

Yes. Years 11 and 12 are covered with WA ATAR course units, and senior students are tutored in a plain, focused way—revision and worked practice rather than stars and celebrations.
