The agreement between you and Safe Tutor

These terms apply to Safe Tutor, operated by [YOUR BUSINESS NAME] [ABN: ______] ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Who may use Safe Tutor

Accounts may only be created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password secure, and for the activity of the student profiles you create. Children use the service under your supervision and do not hold their own accounts.

2. What Safe Tutor is — and isn't

Safe Tutor provides AI-assisted learning support aligned to the Australian Curriculum. It is a study aid. It is not a school, not a registered training organisation, and not a substitute for formal education, professional tutoring, or medical, psychological or educational assessment. We do not guarantee any particular academic result.

On homework: Safe Tutor is designed to guide students to their own answers with hints and questions rather than complete work for them. You and your child remain responsible for complying with your school's rules on academic honesty and the use of AI.

3. Accuracy of AI responses

Tutor responses are generated by AI and may occasionally be incomplete or incorrect. Please treat them as a starting point for learning and check important information. We encourage parental supervision, particularly for younger students.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Safe Tutor to attempt to obtain unsafe, adult or off-topic content, to bypass or interfere with our safety measures, to share an account beyond your household, to resell or redistribute the service, or to enter another person's personal information.

5. Plans, payment and cancellation

The Visitor's Pass is free and includes a limited number of tutor questions each month and one student profile.
The Family Pass is [$12] AUD per month, includes unlimited tutor questions and up to four student profiles, and renews automatically until cancelled.
Payments are processed by Stripe. You may cancel at any time; your subscription continues until the end of the paid period, after which the account returns to the free plan.
We may change pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

6. Refunds

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Beyond those rights, if something goes wrong or you are not satisfied, contact us at safe-tutor@proton.me and we will consider a refund in good faith.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Safe Tutor available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Features described as "coming soon" are planned, not promised, and may change.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used in a way that puts other users or the service at risk. You may close your account at any time from your account page.

9. Intellectual property

The Safe Tutor name, site, characters and content are owned by us. You may use them for your household's personal, non-commercial learning. Work your child produces remains theirs.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding the amount you paid in the previous twelve months.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
